TRIPLE HONOURS FOR BRAWN GP
Brawn GP has scooped an unprecedented three awards at the 2009 Professional MotorSport World Expo Awards, which honour the sport’s outstanding teams, technologies, personalities and facilities.
The newly-crowned winners of the 2009 Formula One World Constructors’ Championship took the top slots in the categories for ‘Vehicle Development of the Year’, ‘Design Engineer of the Year’ and ‘Team Principal of the Year’ to round off a truly remarkable debut season.
Ross Brawn, Team Principal, Brawn GP, said: ‘On behalf of the team at Brawn GP and Mercedes-Benz High Performance Engines, it is an honour to have won three awards at the 2009 Professional MotorSport World Expo. 2009 has been a fantastic year for Brawn GP and to have won the Constructors’ and Drivers’ Championships after the challenges that we faced prior to the start of the season has been immensely rewarding. Everyone who worked on the BGP 001 car should be very proud of their contribution to our success which has seen the car win eight races this season. We look forward to building on our successes into next year and beyond.’
