BMW MOTORRAD 2011 RANGE


BMW Motorrad is excited to announce two special edition motorcycles as part of it’s 2011 range: the F 800 ST Touring and K 1300 R Dynamic. These new editions will join BMW’s comprehensive range of motorcycles, providing customers with a range of factory-fit options and accessories at a significant saving. There are also new audio options for the R 1200 RT. A selection of new colour schemes are available across the range, including two for the award-winning S 1000 RR supersport bike.

BMW MOTORRAD LAUNCH HP RACE POWER KIT FOR S 1000 RR


The BMW Motorrad HP Race Power Kit is now available to S 1000 RR trackday riders and racers. The kit – a new ECU and an Akrapovic exhaust system – increases peak power and torque while optimising the bike’s sophisticated engine, braking and power management systems for short circuit riding and racing.

Ayrton Badovini’s 2010 FIM Superstock 1000 championship-winning bike uses the HP Race Power Kit – and has already proven itself to be a devastatingly effective package. It can also be found on the Jentin Racing-BMW Motorrad S 1000 RR being raced by Richard Cooper in the British National Superstock championship.

NEW ALPINA B5 BI TURBO

BMW MOTORRAD ANNOUNCES K 1600 GT AND K 1600 GTL


BMW Motorrad has today presented the technology at the heart of the forthcoming K 1600 GT and K 1600 GTL touring motorcycles.

Introduced at BMW Motorrad’s new premises in Munich, these two new touring motorcycles include elements of the Concept 6 study, introduced in Autumn 2009, and of BMW’s seven-decade heritage of using in-line six cylinder engines in performance cars.

This new, internally-developed engine develops 118kW (160bhp) and 175 Nm (129lb.ft) of torque.
Over 70% of maximum torque is available from 1,500 rpm. It is the lightest and most compact six-cylinder in-line engine in serial motorcycle production, weighing just 102.6 kg and measuring 560 mm in width. It features DTC (Dynamic Traction Control) for maximum safety when accelerating (optional extra).
