SPORTY MAZDA ‘TAKUYA’ SPECIAL EDITIONS


Mazda has introduced a new sporty Takuya special edition range for the Summer featuring evocative styling and high-levels of standard equipment representing excellent value for money to customers.  The latest special edition range follows on from the successes of the Mazda2, Mazda3 and Mazda6 Tamura special editions earlier this year. 

The name ‘Takuya’ – pronounced ‘tah-koy-yah’ – is taken from the Japanese for forerunner or pioneer.  Available in Mazda showrooms across the UK from 1 July 2010 the new variants are available in the Mazda2, Mazda3 and Mazda6 model line-ups and offer added value to customers.

NEW SPECIAL EDITION MAZDA MX-5 ‘MIYAKO’


Continuing to celebrate the 20th Anniversary of the world’s best-selling roadster, Mazda has introduced a new ‘summer special edition’ version of its iconic sportscar, named the Mazda MX-5 Miyako.  

The new model, which is  on sale from 1 July, is available in two versions – the 1.8i Miyako soft-top priced at £18,385 (on-the-road) and the more powerful 2.0i Miyako roadster coupe with the world’s fastest folding powered roof (up or down in 12 seconds), priced at £20,885 (on-the-road).

New Mazda5 at Geneva

Mazda3 Compact Class Winner on J.D. Power Survey


Mazda3 was awarded first place in the all-important European compact class on the latest customer satisfaction study conducted by the US research institute J.D. Power.

In the largest survey of Germany’s automobile market, Mazda3 scored 85.6 percent for overall customer satisfaction – ahead of the Mercedes A-Class with 84.8 percent and the Hyundai i30, which scored 84 percent. Customer satisfaction of German car owners was calculated from answers given in four categories of questions – Quality/Dependability, Vehicle Appeal, Service and Operating Costs. All categories carry the same weight, and together form the J.D. Power Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI).

Mazda MX-5 rated ‘Best Sports Car’ in UK JD Power Survey


The world‟s best-selling roadster, the Mazda MX-5, added another accolade to its many awards by earning the title of „Best Sports Car‟ on the 2010 JD Power vehicle ownership satisfaction survey for the UK.

More than 17,000 car owners across the UK took part in the annual survey. Owners of Mazda‟s iconic two-seater sports car gave their cars top scores for appearance, exterior and interior quality and mechanical reliability, performance, running costs and also for dealer service.
