Coinciding with the its world premiere at Frankfurt, Vauxhall has confirmed that the entry-level price of the all-new Zafira Tourer will be £21,000, more than £1,200 less than that one of its key rival, the Ford S-Max.

Yet despite its highly competitive starting price, the Zafira Tourer ES 1.8 (140PS) will come equipped with a comprehensive range of kit as standard, such as: air conditioning, DAB, cruise control, MP3/Aux In connections, 6 airbags, 7-speaker sound system, active headrests, and Flex7 seating. Vauxhall/Opel is to reveal a striking concept with ‘production potential’ at this month’s Frankfurt show that could revolutionise urban transport, especially for younger drivers and those on a very tight budget.

Visitors to EcoVelocity, London’s Low Carbon Motorshow, will be given the rare opportunity to test drive a prototype version of the revolutionary new Vauxhall Ampera at Battersea Power Station between September 8-11.

The all new Eco Motoring Festival is being organised by IMIE in partnership with Metro Newspaper, What Car? Magazine and TfL. As its name suggests, the show will feature the very latest green automotive technology, and visitors will get the chance to drive a variety of low- or zero-emissions vehicles on a specially constructed track in the shadow of the famous power station.
