Citroën’s C1 starts the New Year with a smart upgrade – thanks to the introduction of a stylish new VTR+ trim level. Directly replacing the previous VTR models, the new VTR+ trim provides enhanced standard specification in the form of a highly attractive ‘Leather Pack’, which includes part leather/part Alcantara® upholstery, leather steering wheel and gear knob for enhanced comfort, as well as shiny black interior touches for an elegant finish.
In addition, VTR+ models come equipped with a host of standard safety features including front lateral airbags and Isofix child seat anchorage points on the rear seats. An optional ‘Safety Pack’ is also available with ESP and curtain airbags. To underpin the practicality of the C1 VTR+, the rear seats are 50:50 split/folding and, for extra comfort, air conditioning is available as an option.
Due to its on-going success, Citroën has also announced that production of the C1 Splash Special Edition will continue during 2010. Splash models offer generous levels of standard equipment such as air conditioning, remote central locking and front electric windows. Customers can also specify their C1 Splash with two exclusive body colours and custom coloured door mirrors; Lipizian White models feature metallic black mirrors and the Electra Blue metallic cars have white door mirrors.
The frugal Citroën C1 is one of the most environmentally and economically considerate cars on the road today with both engines emitting less than 110g/km of CO2 and offering fuel economy of up to 68.9mpg on the combined cycle. Its compact dimensions and agile frame also make it a practical partner for nipping around the city.
The C1 range starts at just £8,495 and is currently available with a low cost, fixed price Servicing Package priced at just £199 (inc. VAT) – this covers all recommended and scheduled servicing, and brake fluid replacement for up to 3 years/35,000 miles.
