PRESS RELEASE: I am pleased to be able to announce some exciting news about the UK’s leading magazine for diesel and alternative fuels. Effective from the April 2010 edition, What Diesel will be reborn as Diesel Car magazine, reviving a much respected title from the past. The Diesel Car name first appeared on the newsstand back in April 1988, exactly 22 years ago, before being changed in 2007. Diesel Car is being reintroduced to clearly define the business that we are in – a magazine that is deadly serious about diesel cars.
As well as the return of the familiar name, there will be a fresh new look to the magazine, with more news, tests and features on everything that is important in the diesel world. We will be welcoming new writers to the fold – names that you’ll be familiar with from their work with other titles, and will be relaunching our website at www.dieselcaronline.co.uk on 10th March 2010.
As a magazine that is clearly focussed on the economy side of motoring, we will of course continue to provide extensive coverage of the alternative fuel, hybrid and electric vehicle marketplace, thanks to our new Eco Car section, which steps in to replace What Hybrid in the new look magazine. The Eco Car title better reflects the way the car market is progressing towards more eco-friendly and environmentally responsible vehicles.
The first issue of Diesel Car will be on the newsstands on Wednesday 17th March 2010. It is an extremely exciting time for Diesel Car and on behalf of everybody involved in the production of the magazine, I would like to thank everyone for their past support, and look forward to introducing the next development in the long-term success of Diesel Car.
