Searching for a unique gift for the car fan in your family? Model Marque has the answer, with a range of exquisite high-quality die-cast cars – and any message you like personalised on the front and back number plates.
Visit www.model-marque.com and pick the car from the hundreds available, then enter details of the letters/numbers to appear as the registration. Each plate is colour-correct; black lettering on white at the front, and black on yellow for the rear. Silver on black for older vehicles is also available. Best of all it’s free; there’s no additional cost for a personalised plate.
“There’s space for up to eight characters and we’ve had all sorts of requests,” said managing director Victor Keller. “We can do names, dates, football club initials like ‘MUFC’, actual number plates, messages such as ‘No 1 Dad’, or a simple ‘Thanks’. The only limit is the customer’s imagination.”
Cars to choose from include newer models such as Mercedes’ striking gullwing SLS AMG. Classics like the Jaguar E-Type are well represented – there are five different versions to choose from! – as well as mainstream and more obscure models.
“There are plenty of WRC rally cars and we have Lewis Hamilton’s McLaren Formula One racer,” explained Victor. “We even do TV cars like the General Lee Dodge Charger and our range of personalised tractors is very popular too.”
Each replica is approximately 25cms long and accurate in every detail. Many feature opening doors, bonnet and boot, as well as stunning interiors and engine bays. Working steering is also available on some models. Exact details for each car are included on the website.
